Design + build
Pool design & construction
A designer listens first, then a full plan and quote with every cost and specification, and a build that takes the pool from layout to start-up.
Chapter 01
A pool drawn without the site is a pool that costs more later
On Oahu the land decides a good deal before taste does. The angle of the afternoon sun, salt in the air off the coast, the setbacks on the lot and the fall of the grade all push on where a pool can sit and what it can be made of. A sketch that ignores them looks fine on paper and gets expensive the first time a surveyor, an inspector or a trade walks the yard.
That is why a Pacific AquaScapes job starts with a designer rather than a price. The designer listens to what you want in the water, what the yard will allow and what the house is saying, then helps you put the scope and theme of the project into perspective before anything is drawn.
A plan with no full specification is how budgets drift. The quote that follows the design lists all costs and specifications in one document, so the number you agree to describes the pool that will be built in Kapolei, Honolulu or wherever your property sits.

From layout to start-up, with the paperwork handled
Once the design is agreed, the build follows the order a pool has to be built in. The shape is laid out on the ground and dug. Reinforcing steel goes in, the plumbing is run and tested, and the shell is formed in concrete. Tile and coping come next, then the interior finish, plaster or a Pebble Tec surface. Last, the water goes in and the equipment is started up and balanced.
Pacific AquaScapes manages the permits and the compliance with Honolulu city codes as part of the job, which saves the delays that come from a homeowner learning the permit process in the middle of a project. Timelines run from several weeks to a few months, depending on size, features and permits, and the crew keeps you updated at every stage.
Large or small, a job gets the same attention to detail. A modest backyard pool in Kapolei is built with the same care as a resort pool, because the company has built both since 1980 under License CT-10771.
Chapter 03
What it feels like once the water is in
The company specializes in natural pools, waterfalls, ponds and rockwork, and in architectural water features, so a finished pool does not have to be a plain rectangle. A lava-rock waterfall, a spa tucked into the rock, lighting that picks out the steps and the edge: these are designed in from the start, not bolted on after the shell is poured.
Where the property suits it, the same crews will carry the design out to the vanishing edge that Hawaii pools are known for. See how that reads in the finished resort and residential work in the project gallery, or look at how the water-feature side of the business builds rock and falling water.
When the pool is finished, the same yard in Kapolei can look after it with weekly service, and the store at the same Kapolei address will test your water for free. Call (808) 682-1020 or tell the design team about your project to begin.
