Pacific AquaScapes, working since

1980

One yard on Lauwiliwili Street, four companies, and four decades of Hawaii water.

Licensed Specialty Contractor CT-10771. The pools, lagoons and rockwork carry the Pacific AquaScapes name. The rock sign out front reads Pacific AquaGroup, which is what the family of companies answers to.

The field book

Who works out of the yard.

  1. Pacific AquaScapes

Design and construction of pools, spas, lagoons, streams, ponds, waterfalls and rock formations. Working since 1980.

  2. Pacific AquaTech

Design engineering for water features: recirculation, filtration and water-quality systems. Founded 1990.

  3. Maui Waterscapes

Pool and spa construction and service on Maui, and the only licensed applicator in Hawaii of Pebble Technologies finishes.

  4. Pacific Pool & Spa

Pool design, construction and service, run from the same Kapolei address.

Pacific AquaScapes, Pacific AquaTech and Pacific Pool & Spa share one address, 2254 Lauwiliwili St in Kapolei. Maui Waterscapes works from 365 Hoohana Street #6E in Kahului. Between them they plan, engineer, build, finish and then look after the water.

The list of what the crews have built is long and wet: lakes, lagoons, streams, ponds, pools, spas, waterfalls, fountains, fountain sculptures, aquariums, zoo environments, rock formations and other water attractions. Naturalistic rockwork is the thread through all of it, which is why the coral, limestone and fossilstone they carry comes from the Philippines.

Pacific AquaTech was created in 1990 so that the engineering of recirculation, filtration and water quality had a company of its own, and it has drawn water features for resort and hotel names in Hawaii, Asia and on the mainland. A homeowner who walks into the Kapolei store for a water test is standing in the same building.

“Very modern new building. Friendly staff!”

From the yard outward

Four frames the crews can point to.

A horizon edge, a rooftop lap pool, a tower-top deck and a lit spa. Each caption says what stands in the frame.

Where the work has been

Hawaii/Guam/California/Nevada/Taiwan/the Philippines/Barbados/Hong Kong/Singapore/Malaysia.

Hotel owners, timeshare operators, restaurants and commercial businesses across Hawaii, and clients in the places above. The roster of named resorts is set out on the clients and products page.

To see the pools themselves, the project gallery holds more of the crews’ work, and the services page lays out the seven kinds of job.

Pacific Pool & Spa

A pool person since the age of ten.

Clifton Crawford is President of Pacific Pool & Spa. His time in the business began at ten, servicing the pools his father built. At sixteen he was building pools himself.

Since then he has designed and built numerous pools throughout Hawaii. Pacific Pool & Spa answers on (808) 261-3508, from the same Kapolei address as the rest of the yard.
